I can perform either a Spiritual or Non-religious ceremony, according to your desires.

I have a spiritual practice as the foundation of my life yet the ceremony will include references of a spiritual nature only when you as a couple desire it. I will perform ceremonies that omit spiritual or religious reference altogether.

I respect each couple’s right to choose a completely secular ceremony.

Custom Ceremony

I will create a ceremony that reflects your vision of the perfect wedding. From the writing of vows to the creation of unique rituals, family participation, and the couple's wedding preparation, the inventive and not necessarily traditional ceremony is where I shine.

When asked to prepare the entire ceremony with little input from you, I feel it is important for you to approve the ceremony beforehand. And if you do not prepare your own vows, I will share with you, before the ceremony, the vows I prepare. I leave room for whatever inspiration may come to me on your wedding day. Weddings are so inherently inspiring and many sweet events take place before and during that might weave themselves into the ceremony.

During the wedding, I often speak briefly about keys to success in marriage such as trust, commitment, honesty, sharing, sacrifice for the good of the family, interdependence, and individuality… as well as anything I might learn about the couple in discussions with them and through a couples’ questionnaire which I provide.

Minimalist Wedding

For those who want to keep it simple.

My Officiant services can be as simple as attending your private, home ceremony, signing your marriage license, and submitting it to the County Clerk's office.

All counseling fees are per hour on a sliding scale, determined by your financial situation.

About Me

When asked what is unique about my services, my reply is “what is unique - is YOU.” Every couple has a vision of their wedding ceremony and together we make that vision a reality. I don’t have a ceremony that I “sell”. I do however have a guideline - a format, and the ceremony develops with coming to learn about each couple’s vision and background. Together we incorporate what is important, moving, and sacred to you.

I was ordained in 2005 by Rev. Ellen Grace O'Brian, the Founder and Spiritual Director of the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment in San Jose, CA and began to perform weddings in 2006.

My presence as an officiant is grounded and I am a moving speaker. I engage everyone present by delivering inclusive and profound words relating to love, marriage, commitment, and family.

I have performed many weddings and look forward to the opportunity to perform many more. Will yours be one of them?
